In my life I have encountered a few people who just blow my mind. Why they think it is someone else's responsibility to support them is beyond me. I listen to them gripe about their kids not acting like the adults they are - yet they cannot even provide their own basic needs! What kind of example are they setting?!?!
Some examples of the kind of things these types of people do (I am sure you know someone like this too!):
1. Personal care items - When they wish to shower at your house they NEVER bring their own shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. They even ask to use your deodorant!!! After being told no on the personals, they use them anyways!!!
2. Bills - Every grown ass adult knows they have certain bills every month and sets aside the bill money BEFORE going shopping. Not these people. Sorry, they do not have the money for this bill or that bill but expect the service to be provided anyways!!!!
3. Pets - these types of people have pets. They never have enough food for said pets and always beg for food from everyone to feed the pets. This goes on every month, sometimes two weeks out of the month and sometimes less. When they do have food for the pets they never feed them enough!
4. Pets medical - These types of people have pets that are NOT spayed or neutered and they allow inbreeding so they can make a few bucks off rehoming fees without informing the adopter the pets are inbred. They also refuse to address medical conditions such as worms in their pets. They deny the pets have them even though an adopted pet had to be dewormed twice! Anyone knows that if one animal in a home has worms it is likely they ALL have them.
5. Borrowing things - these types of people borrow things that never get returned. They do not take care of what they borrow and when it breaks they will come back and want to borrow something else.
6. Loans - These types of people will borrow money or get you to purchase something for them with the promise of repayment then never repay it. When you ask for the item back (since they refuse to pay for it) they act upset as if you are taking something that belongs to them.
7. Lazy - These types of people are able to do things but simply refuse to, always saying they didn't have time or some other excuse. They sit around all day and night doing nothing, yet telling everyone they have been so busy.
8. Social Media - These types of people use social media to beg for things they can easily afford (and should have purchased instead of blowing their money). You will see them always begging for food, clothes, etc...
9. Laundry - These types of people will beg for clothes and instead of washing them or taking care of them - allow their pets to destroy them and then beg for more clothes.
10. Blame Game- These type of people are NEVER at fault for anything. A good example is a couple I know is constantly blaming everything on their son. He left almost two months ago but somehow it was his fault the clothes in the closets got pulled out and the dogs destroyed them. It was also his fault something came up missing. He had no transportation, yet his parents blamed him for the missing item and he was no where around. It was his fault if the dogs got out, his fault if the place was dirty - even though they never purchased cleaning supplies. He is a kid they are the adults - so precisely who is to blame???
11. Lies - These types of people have so many lies (stories) about literally everything. They cannot even keep their lies straight! When you mention that they told you a different story yesterday they simply go silent or leave. They are skilled at lying and attempt to use their stories to manipulate you. When they cannot manipulate you they get upset and pout like two year olds.
12. Threats - These types of people like to talk about all the dirt they have on someone. They try to use these threats to control you and manipulate you. When they realize someone is not afraid of all this so called dirt they have lost the control they thought they had. When this happens they can become violent and aggressive.
13. Creepers - These type of people creep around pilfering through everything and taking what they want. They will offer to help you just so they can be nosy and go through your things.
I could keep going on about tons of things these types of people do, but I think you get the point.
Here is the key thing though. They are adults with responsibilities that they want the joy of saying they have without the responsibility of actually caring for it. They beg from people who have far less than they do as if they are entitled to it. The sad reality is that if everyone knew how they cared for the things they begged for no one would ever help them again!
They need to wash their clothes instead of just begging for more clothes every time they run out of clean clothes. They need to stop allowing their animals to destroy everything they have. No one wants to keep giving them things just to see the animals destroy it and then listen to them beg for another!
They need to accept that no one else is to blame for the shit going on in their home except them. It is their own fault they spent the bill money. It is their own fault the dogs pulled the clothes out of the closets and destroyed them (because all they do is open the door and shove the food in rather than actually going in and being a good pet owner). It is their own fault for the situation they are in.. The kids did not cause it. No one else caused it. It is a direct result of their own actions and choices!
It is simple really. If you have a pet it is your responsibility to feed it and care for it. It is NOT someone else's responsibility to give their life 24 / 7to take care of your pets!
If you have a habit - such as cigarettes - it is your responsibility to make sure you buy enough to last you the month. It is not someone else's responsibility to support your habit out of their pocket and get nothing in return.
It is your responsibility to make sure you have the things you need for basic survival. It is not someone else's responsibility to continually give you dishes and silverware because they always get broke or disappear. It is your responsibility to make sure you have your own personal care items. It is rude and unsanitary to use someone else's stuff.
That being said, I have sat here wondering where the money goes...... I know how much they get and it boggles my mind that these types of people cannot manage to get through a single month without begging for something from someone.
They also visit the doctor and dentist a lot. I find it funny that as soon as the dentist stopped giving the norco all of sudden migraines develop. But the migraine doctor would not give them the good stuff either. The emergency room was no help, walked out after the tests were done and no drugs given!!! It was a miracle the teeth issues disappeared when the dentist stopped giving the norco!!!
What I find despicable though...... Telling your adult child they cannot get their own food stamp case until they are 23. Maybe they should have kept the food stamp office informed about when those adult children left home instead of continuing to draw for them and using the benefits on themselves......
Ok I must finish what I am doing in the kitchen and make some food!!! Just realized I haven't eaten all day!!!
