I would ask WHY, but what's the Point?

 

So, earlier I saw a post from a Facebook friend about people always being broke. It was eye opening, so I had to jot down my thoughts on the same matter.

 

Like her, I always see people bitching about being broke. These same people who bitch about being broke are sitting there eating fast food, driving financed vehicles, smoking pot and drinking beer / liquor. 

 

Those same people gripe about their power is about to be shut off, or their water is about to be shut off. But they can afford trips to Disneyland, Universal Studios, King's Island, etc.....

 

Those same broke ass people can afford to run the roads in their financed car day and night, doing absolutely nothing of value to help them earn more cash. But they will beg online for help to pay bills while being able to afford things most of us can't (those of us who actually spend our money wisely, pay our bills on time etc). 

 

Those same broke ass people will not pay their rent, but then bitch about how victimized they are because they are gonna get evicted if they do not come up with all the past due rent! They will even make fundraisers online and then NOT use the funds raised to handle the issue!!!

 

Those same broke ass people usually get a good amount of food stamps, yet blow them on junk food and bitch about having nothing to eat. They will also gripe that food banks never give anything they LIKE so they will not go to the food banks, but want a cash hand out or a grocery pick up order.

 

All the while others struggle to be responsible, pay bills on time, keep healthy foods in the house, etc. have to watch these broke ass people financially benefiting from their online begging. 

A great example, using some of my own experiences here, is recently I had to rescue some chickens that were abandoned without food or water. My old chicken coop was poorly built not by me) and about to fall in. I had no choice though and had to put 1 rooster and 5 hens in it while I assembled the better chain link kennel. I was the one who went up on the hill to chase those chickens and move them to my place. I was the one who used some of my gas budget to purchase feed for those chickens. I was the one who assembled the chain link  kennel and got the chickens settled into it. I was the one who assembled the nesting boxes and did EVERYTHING for those chickens. So, of course, I am posting pix online with the progress and someone messages me saying, I will take the rooster......

Not once did I say the chickens were for sale or give away. Not once did I state I wanted to rehome them. But this person just hand their hand stuck out AFTER all the hard work was done, thinking they were gonna get a free rooster!

I had been online practically begging for some help to assemble the chain link kennel. Not one person even commented on those posts - not even the one who had his hand stuck out for a free rooster. No one offered to donate any feed to these chickens I had to rescue for the SECOND time. Yes, this was the second time I had to rescue these same chickens. The first time I left them on the hill and just drove up daily to feed and water them until their owner came back from Utah. This time the owner GAVE me the chickens.

So, if a person wanted a free rooster then why didn't they come help me catch the chickens? Why didn't they come and help me assemble the chain link coop? Why didn't they come and help me set up the nesting boxes? I saw they clicked LIKE on every pic I posted...... But not a peep until they assumed the rooster would be free to them.....

I have dealt with shit like this for YEARS! I work my ass off to get the little bit that I have and someone always has a hand stuck out for it.

Another great example, those of you who follow my FB page know the hot mess my stepson left behind. The tow behind camper he lived in is pretty much destroyed and I am in the process of cleaning it out so it can be used for storage. So, a friend who makes damn near 10k a month has his hand stuck out for that camper wants it for storage so he can save on his storage bill. He thought I should give it to him free AFTER I clean it out..... I gave him a quote of $2500 which is reasonable for either of the 2 trashed campers IF I clean them and do some repairs to make them suitable to use for storage. He did not like that quote.

Keep in mind this is the same person I got the truck off of - who promised to pay the HIGH back taxes on the truck - which right now are $2000 and this person still has NOT fulfilled that promise, yet has their hand stuck out for a free storage camper!!!! I am stuck with a great truck that I cannot get street legal while I watch him buy multiple PT Cruisers, a Dodge truck, and several other vehicles and have them worked on, smogged,, tagged etc...... It is going on 3 YEARS I have patiently waited for him to fulfill his promise about the back taxes and it is painfully obvious he is never going to! Part of the deal on the truck, so that no cash had to be exchanged was I would give him 1 acre of land. Of course he wants to stake out his acre without fulfilling the promise of getting the truck street legal!

So, what the hell is wrong with people? The person I just mentioned has a total retirement income of damn near 10k monthly, yet has his hand stuck out to a person only getting 1//10th of what he does!!! He is always hitting me up for recycles that he rarely gives me a cent for, saying they didn't even give enough for his gas to haul them off...... I could be out making money IF the truck were street legal.... But it sits waiting.....

So, to these idiot people who cannot get their shit together, understand this - if you can afford to eat fast food, go to water parks and amusement parks, state fairs and so forth DO NOT ASK others to pay the bills you ignored. Do NOT play victim when you get an eviction notice because going to Disneyland was more important to you than paying rent! When people like me give you advice,, LISTEN to it because people like me are struggling and busting our asses so we are NOT in a position like  you!

To those who chose poor spending habits, do NOT ask people like me for help because people like me are damn near drowning just to put food on the table and heat /cool our homes! We give out of the kindness of our hearts to those who usually have lied about how they got into their current situations. We end up being taken advantage of which puts us in a hole that will take years to dig out of. Not that people like YOU care because you simply move onto the next fool who will buy into the bullshit.

I will not apologize for being so jaded on this matter but I am really sick of people having their hand stuck out to me when they know damn well I am not in a position to give them anything I have worked so hard to get. When I see them out here helping me with some of the things I am not physically able to do then MAYBE. But until then the answer is a hard NO.

I mean think about this, the guy I got the truck from cannot even grasp how much it hurts to watch him shell out thousands on other vehicles (he doesn't need because he has a 2020 kia) while my truck sits waiting on him to fulfill his promise of paying the back taxes....... 

Ok, I need to get some work done today. Almost finished with my morning coffee but my friend's post really hit home. So sick of watching people beg online while chomping on pizza, KFC, McDonald's etc and crying about not having any food or whatnot. It is so offensive to people who are truly struggling because the ones who spend poorly and burn people make it impossible for the ones who truly could use some help!
