Fluoride & Teeth - and How This Affects Me personally

 Watch this video

From the time I was young, it seems all I can remember is constant visits to the dentist. I was born in 1970 - just when the fluoride craze was taking off. Back then we had ZERO idea of how much was too much, and many people like me ended up suffering because of bad information!!

My baby teeth had so many cavities - not because I ate too much sugar or did not brush enough - but because I was taught that brushing after each meal with a good toothpaste was needed, and that the municipal water was the best source of fluoride.

What they did not know back then though, was precisely how that much fluoride would affect the adult teeth as they came in.....

I HATED the dentist with a passion!!! As my adult teeth came in many of them had developed cavities before they even came through the gums!!! It seemed like nothing I did helped my teeth at all - even though I was doing everything the dentist told me to!!!

I began getting abscess teeth, one after another. My teeth became brittle by the time I was 17 and I had lost nearly all of my front teeth and wore a partial plate. By the time I was 21, I had a partial plate for the front teeth with a bridge to the molars. It was fun for a while because I could pop the plate out and freak out folks - especially kids!!! But, the problems did not stop. They got progressively worse as time went on.

My tooth pain would get so bad it felt like someone was driving a hot ice pick into my eyeballs! Anyone who has ever had tooth issues probably knows what I mean! It was also NOT the kind of pain you could predict or tolerate because you never knew if, or when it would go away. The partial plate did not help matters either. The metal wire would scrape the tooth it was connected to causing the enamel to wear thin resulting in serious pain as well.

By 1995, while pregnant with my 4th child, I had enough. After having 2 severely abscess molars the abscess moved to a 3rd tooth and once my daughter was born I scheduled to have ALL of my teeth removed.

April 1, 1996 was the day I had the surgery and I have not regretted a second of having them all pulled. I tried dentures but found that no matter how many adjustments I simply could not eat or tolerate them so I tossed them out. Most people do not even notice that I have no teeth until I mention it OR in live videos where some people like to nitpick petty shit lol. I was 26 years old when I had them removed. So young to be forced to make such a choice because of bad information on fluoride!!!

I was told  as a kid that it was a variety of other reasons why my teeth were bad..... It wasn't until recently that my doctor's and I discovered that the fluoride was the true reason I had so much trouble. MANY kids growing up in the 1970's had the same issues!!!

Unfortunately, too much time has passed and I cannot sue for the suffering and loss of my teeth over bad information and policies. What I can do though is talk about my experience and hope no one else has to suffer the way I did, or be humiliated by the dentist because no matter what I did my teeth were bad anyways. I was bullied because of my teeth. I was self conscious because of my teeth.

There is no greater humiliation to a CHILD than the vanity of their teeth and having people misunderstand a medical issue that causes them to experience bad issues with the teeth. Even my face broke out because of the multiple abscesses I experienced, so of course, I was bullied about that too!!!

Once I had them all removed though, my health began getting better. I had no more abscesses and less facial break outs. I was able to truly eat and actually enjoy the taste of the food, rather than dealing with the pain it would cause!!! I learned that I had missed out on so much because of the dental issues I endured for 2 decades!!!!

Yes, I get phantom toothaches from time to time!!! Crazy as it sounds, I actually do get them and it is ALWAYS where the molars used to be. That is where I had the most severe pain, and had the most work done. My wisdom teeth were all removed by the time I was 16 and one of them was a major surgery. Part of my jaw bone had to be removed because the wisdom tooth was impacted under the jaw AND under the tooth next to it. Talk about real pain - OMFG did that hurt!!!

I have zero regrets in having them removed. I can eat pretty much anything, folks always ask me that lol. I eat peanuts, walnuts, pecans and chips without any issues. It took a long time though before I was able to do this. I can also enjoy corn on the cob which is something I could rarely do when I had teeth because the corn would damage the front teeth when I tried to eat it!!! The fluoride had damaged the front teeth so severely that when I was 18 one of the front bottom teeth broke off at the gums while I was trying to enjoy corn on the cob. The tooth literally stuck in the corn I even saved it to show the dentist who removed the broken part!

The sad part of this is that many other people suffer with this issue and it gets mistaken for "meth mouth". I have NEVER done any sort of drugs like that, but due to the condition of my teeth I did get accused of it from time to time. Even now, because I have no teeth some people assume it was do to drug use. I have stopped trying to inform them because they only see what they want to see, and they only believe what they want to believe whether it is true or not!!

I hope this helps someone who may be experiencing similar issues and I hope it gives them some confidence that they are not alone, nor are they crazy!

As we become better educated on the dangers of being over fluoridated we also learn about people like me who were affected the most and have zero recourse because of it!!!

If you have been in my shoes feel free to leave a comment and message me! Together we can heal from the trauma of this issue!!
