Daisy's Paws Fake Animal Rescue

As some of you know I was the victim of a fake animal rescue. When I created that album I had no idea just what would transpire within days......

One after another, victims began commenting, making additional posts and / or messaging me privately. The current head count is near 30,if not more. I have not actually sat down and counted because everyday there is someone new!

Many of us have dealt with scam animal rescues at some point in our lives, especially those of us who have been involved in animal rescue for years. Daisy's Paws took the scam to new levels though.

This scam was well thought out, highly calculated and had several people involved. We have not worked out all of the kinks in how this came down or how it was implemented, but we are getting there. 

It began with two friends and their marital partners. It began over a year ago when they all began discussing setting up an animal rescue. It began with an elaborate web of lies.

Katie is 25 and has so many stories of how many jobs she has held within the rescue world. She was a vet tech but will not say where or where she received her credentials for this, or why she left the job. Katie claims to have been an animal control officer and worked with animal control. Katie claims to have been professionally involved with rescue since she was a teenager - yet NONE of her social media accounts reflect any of this. 

Daisy's Paws was supposedly named after her dog that got lost while under the care of a friend. We can guess who that friend was - likely Kristina. No one knows what happened to this dog. Was it ever found? Was it really lost? Why was it in a friend's care in the first place?

Why doesn't their social media accounts reflect their love of rescuing and which rescues they have worked with? 

Now, both Katie and Kristina are married. Katie is supposedly married to Todd and Kristina is married to Anne. A little over a year ago Katie began trolling dating apps WHILE seemingly happily married to Todd. Her social media reflects that during this time frame her marriage seemed good, pictures are of them happy and enjoying life. So why was she trolling dating apps?

The trolling began AFTER the discussion about starting an animal rescue began. Todd also seemed to be aware or became aware that Katie had been trolling dating apps. Kristina was aware that about a year ago Katie began chatting with Robert. There are many claims about all the bullshit Robert has done, but keep in mind it was Katie who reached out to Robert! 

Katie and Robert talked a lot until about 8 months ago when they decided to "run off together" to Florida. Why didn't Todd file a missing persons report? Why didn't Kristina file one? No one filed one because Katie leaving with Robert was part of the plan! 

Kristina claims that Katie and Robert were supposed to establish Daisy's Paws in Florida while Kristina and Anne would run the California branch of the rescue. That being said, a lot of discussion had to have gone into who was going to do what and how had to have occurred before Katie and Robert went to Florida. 

We do not know what happened in Florida yet, but we do know that Katie and Robert returned to California in early Spring and proceeded to establish the fake rescue here in California with the help of several other people. 

Now, keep in mind that Robert already had a long history of running scams and has active warrants out for his arrest - some of which are ZERO BOND warrants, meaning when he does get picked up he will NOT be getting out of jail. He is currently on probation and is on the run. This makes him the PERFECT fall guy for what they had planned.

All of the parties involved wanted a certain kind of lifestyle that their current income would not cover. Robert is known to have a serious meth addiction and has charges of possession with intent to distribute. Rumors are going around about some of the others involved having drug addictions as well, but so far only one has been partially verified. 

The girls all claim that Robert was in control and they were forced by Robert to file paperwork a certain way and do things his way. I do not buy this. I believe this was their dream and he simply provided funds to get it rolling. Why would the girls hand their dream over to some guy they trolled on a dating app? Makes no sense. But, everyone involved is very adamant that Robert was in control and Robert stole all the money. They are literally laying the blame for EVERYTHING at Robert's feet.

Do not get me wrong, Robert is a lowlife piece of shit, but he did not act alone in any of this! It is my belief that Robert was chosen to become the fall guy for what they had planned. The sad part is they thought they could get away with it.

So, they filed 1 legal document with the Secretary of State and NOTHING else. The rescue was NOT a legal entity, nor did it have the necessary insurance, mission statement, IRS filings etc. Then the group began collecting donations and animals. They dumped the animals on unsuspecting fosters - animals they NEVER had vetted, KNEW were sick and refused to provide supplies for! They took these donations, and in their own words, used them for cheap hotels and casinos, among other things.

More and more animals were dumped on fosters while they pursued their lifestyle. Not once did they show care for the sick animals that were DYING while they spent the donations as they saw fit. 

When the donations slowed down and the pressure from the fosters became too much they began pointing the finger at Robert. Their stories make no sense on that regard. The girls expect people to believe that Robert controlled every aspect of their lives and the rescue while they knew little and barely handled anything. It is their names on the rescue, it was the girls always dropping off the animals and it was mainly the girls in communication with many of the fosters.

Some of us dealt with Robert, but many dealt directly with Kristina. They claimed they had no idea how sick the animals were, or that they had never been vetted - yet Thumper was at VCA under Kristina's name!!!! He was one of the only ones who ever received any type of vet care through the rescue!!!

They took money under false pretenses for jobs that did not exist. They "borrowed" equipment never returning it or paying for it. The girls claim Robert lied to them about the wire cage he borrowed from me and the washer / dryer he got from another. Both of which are in Kristina's possession right now and they have zero intentions of returning any of it.

When people began making posts about what a shit rescue Daisy's Paws was the girls began passing the buck to Robert. They began laying the groundwork for them to be viewed as innocent victims and for Robert to take the fall. This does not work in any reality for some simple reasons.

1. Katie originally trolled Robert on the dating app

2. Katie and Kristina had long discussions about establishing a rescue BEFORE she trolled Robert.

3. Katie ran off with Robert with plans of setting up a rescue in Florida with Kristina being the California partner

4. Robert had no valid license or ID so he could NOT open a bank account, rent a UHaul or do anything that required an ID. The girls gladly did all things that required an ID.

5. They all spent the donations on personal desires and they all enjoyed doing so. 

6. The girls only began complaining when the money ran out and it sent their personal accounts into the negative. THEN it became all Robert's fault. How did Robert have access to their personal accounts IF they had not granted him that access?

7. They have made claims of police reports they have against Robert but can provide NOTHING to prove any of these reports, no incident number, no case number, no deputy name, no badge number - literally NOTHING.

8. Elaborate stories were concocted to generate sympathy for Katie. Robert held her against her will and her husband had to rescue her in this crazy car chase that cops were involved in (no incident of this can be found in police call logs), Katie checked herself in for a psy hold - yet she was actively answering calls and texts (cannot happen on a psy hold no phones allowed), Katie was brainwashed by Robert to believe she was abused by her husband and so many more stories. The story changed depending on who they were talking to.

9. Todd, Katie's husband, looks a lot alike to Todd the transporter...... Todd the transporter was hauling some dogs which he gave away at a dog park when he had a heroine relapse (this is one story being told). Todd the husband does NOT deny being Todd the transporter and claims he never did meth and anyone who says he did is a liar..... We never mentioned meth in the conversation.....

10. Robert kept being seen on base asking for rides, but a random stranger is NOT going to take him onto base - it had to be someone he knew - we feel either Todd or Anne. 

11. The girls claimed little knowledge of many of the animals that were supposedly under their fake rescue's care - yet their website clearly had pictures of several of the animals they were receiving donations for and not a penny was used for the care of those animals.

12. Although the girls picked up many of the animals, took them to their apartment, now they claim to have no idea where those animals went.

I could keep going on about all the things that stink in their stories, but I think you get the picture. 

There is no way the girls are truly innocent victims in any of this. They accepted donations, they spent those funds for personal use and ignored the cries of the fosters all the while trying to lay the groundwork to make Robert the sole fall guy.

Sadly, it is the animals and the fosters who suffered the most and NONE of those involved have shown any remorse for what they have done. Their only emotion was that they got caught and trying to make others feel sorry for them!

I do not feel bad for them not one little bit. I still cry over the kittens who took their last breaths in my arms while I busted my ass trying to save them. Tell the ones I buried why the needed medicine or vet care could not be obtained because they went to casinos and stayed in cheap hotels!!!! Tell the parvo pups who died slow, painful deaths why they got no help. Tell the dogs dumped at kill shelters why they had to die because their time at the shelter ran out after they had been dumped there.

Unfortunately, this bunch is likely to skip to another town and run another scam victimizing innocent people all over again. PLEASE notify authorities if you see them! 

Sorry for rambling, my pain level is through the roof because this past week or so I have seriously overdone myself and haven't really taken time to truly rest. I will have more over the next few weeks on this matter. Be patient as I continue sorting messages, screenshots and trying to unravel this web of lies they have spun.
